
The Meatmaster is a composite Breed, taking the best genes from certain
Breeds and combining them to form a superior Breed to the parent stock.

Meatmaster Rams are Masculine, Muscled, Virile and extremely Fertile.

Meatmaster Ewes are Sleek and Feminine, extremely Fertile and good Mothers.

The balance in conformation between Length Depth and Width of Body with
excellent Legs for movement keeps the Meatmaster in balance with Nature.

With Meatmasters we want to see that bit of fluffy Wool for protection but good shedding during the summer months is esential. Meatmasters are also none selective grazers.

All colours are acceptable however good skin pigmentation around eyes and ears is essential.

When grazing or sleeping the herd instinct always keeps them close together
leading to easy management and protection from predators.

Meatmaster Ewes have a very efficient body structure and lambing
problems are non existent.

These 10 month old Ewe Lambs have just passed inspection and
are ready to lamb at 12 to 14 months.

Meatmaster Ewes do justice to the word functionally efficient.

No pasture or supplementary feeding is needed for weaned
Lambs even though they are raised in arid regions.

Meatmaster Lambs are very resilient leading to extremely low
death rates between Birth and Weaning.

Meatmasters do not have to be treated for most external parasites and have an extremely high tolerance to most virus diseases.

2009 Meatmaster National sale was very well attended with two rams reaching R20 000 and ewes going for over R10 000, even up to R14 000.
