The Meatmaster Society offer the following Services to Breeders

• Compile Breeding Standards.
• Organize Exhibitions and National Auctions.
• Organize Shows and Exibitions.
• Visit Breeders to give guidance.
• Manage and Administrate the affairs of the Meatmaster Countrywide.
• Explore new Markets for the Meatmaster.
• Initiate ongoing Research on Meatmaster Sheep.
• Publish a Meatmaster Journal regularly;
• Liaise with Departments of Agriculture, the Registrar of Livestock Improvement, Studbook, and other Government Institutions on behalf of Breeders.
• Do Promotion of the Meatmaster Sheep.
• Liaise with Animal Scientists with regard to Performance Testing and Selection to make sure Meatmaster remain focused on producing the most profitable Sheep.

Liason with International Organizations

The Meatmaster Committee intends to liaise closely with Breeders in Australia and Mexico and is in favour of liaising in the Southern African context to promote the Meatmaster Sheep.

The Meatmaster Sheep Breeders Society support controlled export project of Meatmaster Sheep world wide as can be viewed by the Meatmasters in Australia to be seen in the Photo Gallery.

Courses and Field Days

The Society will organize annual Courses on Breeding and Selecting Meatmasters, Stud Breeders and Commercial Breeders are equipped with the skills to accurately Breed and Select their most profitable Ram and Ewe Genetics. 

An Course is also presented annually regarding all the aspects of Record Keeping and Performance Testing. 

All new Breeders are expected to attend these Courses.
